She left the Cove of Cork the 19th of September last, and brings, in excellent health, 144 male prisoners. Surgeon Superintendent, Dr. Taylor, R. N. The guard comprises 30 men of the 1st Foot (Royals), under orders of Lieut. Lewis. Sydney Gazette, 13 Jan 1821.

The second entry from Dennis Nightingale, above, relates to the younger man, who was born in Dingle, Kerry Co., and tried in Cork, not to this man, who was older, and was a cooper.

Sentenced by Magistrates Henry Gillman and John Brabyn to 25 lashes for absconding from his gang. 62649 Bryan (Brian) James - 19 May 1825 Newcastle SG. Aged 22; native of Cork; 5'4 in hazel eyes, brown hair, sallow complexion. Absconded from the gaol gang at Newcastle.
