On Thursday arrived from Calcutta, via Derwent, the ship Mary, Captain Ormon, with a various cargo. -Passengers from Calcutta, Captain Faithfull and Lieutenant Hamilton:-The Mary sailed from Calcutta the 23d of February, and left the Pilot the 1st of March. 1822, 24 June: W BOHANNON per Mary assigned to Thomas Rice of Philip Street, Sydney (see NSW, Australia, Convict Records, 1810-1891; List of Non-Artificer Prisoners, 1822). 1825: Michael BOHANNON (BUCHANNON) – convict – Mary 1819, life; government servant to Sgt Hastings, Sydney (see NSW and Tasmania, Australia Convict Musters, 1806-1849, New South Wales General muster A-L 1825). 1829, 5 October: Michael BUCHANNON or BOHAN granted Ticket of Leave #29/828; allowed to remain in the district of Sydney (see New South Wales, Australia, Tickets of Leave, 1810-1869).
1819, 25 August: Michael BUCHANNON or BOHAN – convicted Leitrim, Spring 1818; life; native place Co Leitrim; labourer; 20, 5’4½”; fair sallow complexion, dark flaxen hair and hazel eyes (see NSW Convict Indents, 1788-1842; Bound Indentures 1818-1819).
