1841 20th March at Newcastle Gaol from Sydney, to be sent to Cockatoo Island for 1 year.




27th March 1835 At Cork, sentenced to Life for sheep stealing.




On 24th August 1835 he was transported on the ship “Hive”, the ship ran aground during the night of 10th December 1835, on the central part of Bherwerre Beach, Wreck Bay (south of present day Jervis Bay). The Captain John Nutting was in bed drunk & asleep at the time of the incident. Earlier he was reported to have said to his officers when they had shown concern regarding sailing directions set for the night, "One person is sufficient to navigate the ship!". 18th Nov. 1837, At Segenhoe NSW absconded from Thomas Potter Mac Queen 6th November 1837. Description: Carter age 28 from Co. Cork. 5ft 1 1/2 in, dark ruddy and freckled complexion, brown hair, brown eyes, scrofula marks under left jaw. 19th Sept. 1838, At Ravensworth NSW absconded from Dr. James Bowman since Aug. 27 1838
