NATIVE PLACE: Stockport, Cheshire. He was single. FORM: Samuel Buckley had several previous convictions, according to his VDL Conduct Record that reads: "...transported before, 1826, for wearing apparel, sentenced 7 years, served 6 years and a half, 4 years at Bermuda, rest at hulks; one month for leaving his master" (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON31-1-5$init=CON31-1-5p171). IN VDL: On arrival in VDL, Samuel was 27 years old, with brown hair, hazel grey eyes and a brown complexion. He was 5'7" tall (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON18-1-10$init=CON18-1-10p142). 1846, 20 January: Samuel died in the General Hospital, Hobart. He was 36 according to this record (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/RGD34-1-2p087j2k).
