At the Quarter Sessions, which commenced on Wednesday at the New Bayley Court House, the Rev. W. R. Hay, Chairman, the following prisoners have been tried, viz: To be transported 7 years - Thomas Buffery, for stealing a watch, &c;.. Manchester Mercury, 3 May 1814.
Colonial Secretary Papers: BUFFERY, Thomas. Per "Indefatigable", 1815 29/4/1815: On list of prisoners disembarked from the "Indefatigable" and forwarded to Liverpool for distribution (Reel 6004; 4/3494 p.66) 30/8/1823: On return of fines imposed by the Court at Appin for violating the Colonial regulations (Reel 6023; 4/6671 p.1) 4/9/1823: Affidavit re loss of his certificate of freedom. Resided in Appin, New South Wales. Religion: Protestant. Height 5'1" or 5'7" and 3/4. Complexion: shallow; hair: dark brown; eyes: dark. 10/5/1830: Married Mary Reagan in Church of England Parish of Cambelltown Mary Reagan, born 1808 Limerick, Ireland; died 12 October 1858, buried 15 October 1858 Sydney. Cause of death: bronchitis. Transported on the ship "Grenada 4" in 1826.
