14/3/1812 Norfolk Chronicle: At Hertford...James Burcham...for various robberies and burglaries, were capitally convicted; and received sentence of Death; all were reprieved except Glazebrooke, who had previously escaped from the hulks. James Burcham was listed as 41 years old on arrival. Native Place: Northampton. James waws 5'5" tall, pale complexion, black to grey hair, hazel eyes. 1825 Muster: Burcham, James, free by servitude, Fortune, 1813, life, shoemaker, Parramatta Morris, Mary, convict, Wanstead, 1814, 14 years, wife to James Burcham, Parramatta Burcham, John, 9, born in the colony, son of J. Burcham, Parramatta Burcham, Mary Ann, 8, born in the colony, daughter of J. Burcham, Parramatta Burcham, James, 7, born in the colony, son of J. Burcham, Parramatta Burcham, George, 3, born in the colony, son of J. Burcham, Parramatta. 5/6/1836: James Bircham died, aged 65/66 - he was buried at St. John's, Parramatta. On his headstone: Sacred to the Memory of JAMES BURCHAM who departed this life 5 of June 1836 Aged 66
