From the New South Wales Gazette 24th February 1846 The Tickets of Leave, of the undermentioned Prisoners of the Crown, have been cancelled for the reasons stated opposite their respective names. Cornelius Burke was listed as 13 years old on arrival. Native Place: Cork. Occupation: Paperstainer's boy. Cornelius could read, was RC, 4'4ΒΌ" tall, ruddy and freckled complexion, brown hair, hazel eyes, scar left side of frorehead, large scar under left eyebrow. 11/8/1843: TOL - Allowed to remain in the District of Windsor - on the recommendation of the Wollongong Bench. 11/1/1846: TOL cancelled and sentenced one month on the treadmill for dishonest conduct. 1/2/1847: TOL Passport - Allowed to remain in the service of Edward D. Day Esq., at New England for 12 months. - Maitland Bench. 5/2/1851: Warrant issued for his arrest for horse stealing - Maitland. 30/4/1851: Tamworth - Escaped from Tamworth lockup wsith Michael Murray, Joseph Robinson and Joseph Thompson.
