"Thomas was my great, great great Grandfather. He was born in 1814 in Derry. Granted a ticket of leave in 1835 in Port Stephens. He married Margaret Mallarky in Derry Ireland in 1839. Together they returned as Assisted Immigrants of the Percy (ship) in 1841. Margaret was 19 years old and listed as a dairymaid, Thomas 28yrs as a Farm Labourer"
