Elizabeth BURNS was convicted at Down, Ireland on 20 Oct 1843 for larceny - stealing clothes. Previous conviction. 7 yr transportation sentence. Sent to Van Diemen’s Land (Tasmania) per the ship ‘Greenlaw’ arriving July 1844.
Aged 44 yrs; farm servant; 5’2” height; Roman Catholic; single woman; brown complexion; brown to grey hair; blue eyes’ quiet; good report.
Native place of birth: Down, Ireland. Maiden name not given.
