Huntingdon, Bedford and Peterborough Gazette, 26 Jan 1828. Bedford. Tuesday last, the following seven prisoners were removed from the County Gaol to the Hulks, sentence of death having been recorded against them at the last Assizes, which has been commuted to transportation for their natural lives, viz. James hnwker charged with stealing Irish from * Burratt own brother, and B«.hy to the two brothers that name who were transported from here the last Lent Assizes, for housebreaking; are natives London— the of Kingsland Road; the mother keeps a Herb water-cress stall Fleet-Market , and these men travelled the country to obtain and supply her the above articles. Huntingdon, Bedford and Peterborough Gazette, 23 Aug 1828. PRISONERS. James Burratt, aged 27, and Joseph Bailey, aged 20, : charged with having the 31st July last, the parish of Stotfold, feloniously stolen one piece Irish dowlas, value 25., the property Patrick Murrin.—Burratt two months' imprisonment in the New House of Correction, hard labour Bailey, Not guilty.
