Record in Tasmanian Archives as "Caroline" Burt. Tried and convicted with her sister Jane Burt at Dorset Quarter Session 20/10/1840 for Larceny - stealing linen & previous convictions. 10yr Transportation sentence. Transported on the "Rajah" departing 5 April 1841, arriving Van Diemens Land 19 July 1841 Hobart. Sister Jane also on board. Parents: Benjamin Burt & Caroline Goudy. Sister: Jane Burt. Gaol Report: previous connections bad. Single; Age 14 or 15yrs; Native Place: Poole, Dorsetshire. 5'3 3/4"; fresh complexion; brown hair; brown eyes. Farm servant/kitchen maid (can make butter). Assignements: 1841: Cascade Female Factory, Hobart. 1841: Mr. Tabart, Eastern Marshes. 1841: Mr. Jones, Oatlands. 1842: Richmond. 1845: Oatlands. Clear Conduct Record. 21/01/1842: Application for permission to marry George Goodall - declined as she had not been here long enough to prove her character. 11/08/1842: Application for permission to marry George Goodall - approved. 26/09/1842: Marriage to George Alfred Goodall (a stonemason, aged 22yrs) at the Court House, Oatlands, Tasmania. 24/02/1845: Ticket of Leave 20/10/1850: Free by Servitude. Children: George; Alexander; Andrew; James; Edward; William & Ellen. Died 03/02/1862 at Inglewood, Victoria aged 37yrs.
