Mary Burt (the younger) was tried and convicted at Exeter, Devon on 15/10/1839 of Larceny - stealing silk hankerchiefs. 14 yr sentence. Tried with her sister Millicent (also on board this ship). Gaol Report: bad connections before. Single; 5'3 3/4"; brown hair' light brown eyes. Native Place: Cornwall. 1841 Muster: at Rev'd Garrand's, New Norfolk, Van Diemens Land. 04/01/1841: Disobedience of orders - reprimand. 01/03/1844: Ticket of Leave 25/09/1845: married John Womersley, St. Matthews Church, New Norfolk. 22/08/1848: Conditional Pardon (Note: sister Millicent (married John Reeves) also lived in the New Norfolk district.)
