James Butler was convicted along with Alexander Marcus (Larkins 1817) and Neseem Jacobson (Lady Castlereagh 1817 to VDL) for knowingly having a forged Bank of England note in his custody and possession. James was a Native of Carlow, Ireland and was 26 years old on arrival. Colonial Secretary: BUTLER, James.
