The Printed Convict Indentures state that Denis Bryne was 15 years old. He could neither read nor write; religion Roman Catholic; status single and a native of County Westmeath. He was a farm boy. Denis was convicted of street robbery at Westmeath on 1 March 1836 and sentenced to life. He had one prior conviction and served 4 weeks. Physical attributes: Height - 4 feet 11 1/4 inches; complexion ruddy and freckled; hair brown and eyes hazel. Transport number 184. Prisoner number 36-1987.
Received ticket of leave in 1846 (number 46/121).
