He was tried at Dublin city Ireland in 1814, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 9 4 1816 after a voyage of 4months on GUILDFORD. He married Sarah (Hibbs age14) on 24 10 1820 at St Matthews CofE Windsor. He was Free by Servitude by 1822. He was recorded in 1824 as a farmer. In 1828 he was recorded as a miller at Fox Point Lower Portland Head; he was a farmer too. He died on 27 4 1850 age56 at MacDonald River. In the colony, Francis married Sarah Rebecca Hibbs, St Matthews, Windsor, October 23rd 1820. Sarah was the daughter of Peter Hibbs (First Fleet Seaman, Sirius, 1788) and Mary Ann Pardoe (Second Fleet Convict, Lady Juliana, 1790). Francis and Sarah had 12 children between 1821 and 1843.
