1829 - Waterloo's first voyage arrived at Sydney Cove 9 July 1829. 180 Male Convicts. 2 Died on voyage. 7 sent to the hospital on landing. Total mustered; 171. Stephen Addison - Commander Michael Goodsire - Surgeon Superintendent [His wife was a passenger] 1842 - The Waterloo voyage of 1842 was wrecked on 28/8/1842. 189 people drowned, these being 143 convicts, 15 men of the 99th Regiment, together with 17 wives and children, the boatswain Mr. Chiverton, the sailmaker, the carpenter and 11 of the crew. Convicts were then received in Cape Town Prison from the wreck of the Waterloo, 2nd September 1842. They then completed their voyage to VDL per “Cape Packet” which arrived on 23/11/1842.

Absconded. Byrne James, Waterloo (2), 31-648, 20, Manchester, laborer, 5 feet 2, pale freckled comp. fair hair, hazel grey eyes, small diagonal scar on right side of forehead, five dots between left forefinger and thumb, from Wiseman’s Road,  since 12th Jan. NSW Govt Gazette, 22 Jan 1834.
