Described in the Annotated records as being 19 years old; could neither read and write: Status single; Religion Catholic: Native place County Wicklow and was a farm labourer; Was convicted of horse stealing at Carlow on 9 July 1834 for life; Had no prior convictions; Height 5 feet 5 1/2 inches: Complexion Ruddy; Hair Light sandy brown and had grey eyes. Prisoner number 35-1821. Assigned to Mr James Wright at Lanyon Station. Lanyon is now located in southern Canberra, ACT. Ticket of leave dated April 1843, Number 43/2144. Applied for by Mr James Wright. Certificate of Freedom number 48/1948.
