Tried 14 February 1829 and sentenced to Transportation for Life for highway robbery. Assigned to John McIntyre at Pattersons Plains on arrival. 95505 Caffrey John - Guildford 1829. 1831 29 June Newcastle gaol NGE. Labourer from Dublin. Sent to Newcastle gaol to await corporal punishment. Discharged to Police at Newcatle 30 June. 105063 Caffrey John - Guildford 1829. 1836 February Newcastle Register Book of Christ Church Cathedral, Newcastle. Burials p.20. Died in Newcastle hospital aged 36. Assigned servant of Peter McIntyre. Burial.
