Anne Cahill was indicted for stealing ten yards of calico. The prisoner went into the shop of Mr. Smith, a linen draper in Skinner-row,  and took the calico off the counter; she put it under her arm, and was walking off with it when she was stopped by the shop girl; the prisoner then gave the calico to a woman who was along with her, and who ran away with it. The prisoner had not been long liberated from prison when she was arrested for this offence. She was sentenced to seven years’ transportation.    Dublin Morning Register, 7 Oct 1830.
