Please remove all information previously supplied as I realise I have been a bit muddled about Ann's later life and death.

She was born Paisley Renfrewshire Scotland about 1820. Mother was Agnes Dick - brothers Andrew,Thomas, John - sisters Agnes, Jane, Janet. Brother Andrew was in Sydney as a soldier in the British Army 11th Foot Regiment. Ann was married to an unknown Caldwell who had been absent for nine years. She had two children - one came on board with her. He was John Hume aged 7 and went into the Orphanage on 27 April 1853. Unfortunately he died there of measles 18 February 1854. Nothing is known of Ann after she gained her Certificate of Freedom on 30 April 1860. But in 1877 Ann CALDWELL, widow, married James McDONALD, bachelor, in Hobart. Some time before 1892 James died because Ann then married Charles CHILVERS, also widowed, in Hobart. Both were aged 63. Charles died in NTCI on 23 January 1900. Between 1896 and 1906 Ann had several admissions to NTCI. She died there on 1 May 1906 aged 82 and was buried in CB - RC section CC number 458 - alone. A death notice in the Hobart Mercury on 5 May 1906 stated she was the relict of the late James McDONALD - Melbourne papers please copy. She must have had a son John because he placed an "In Memoriam" notice in the Hobart Mercury in 1909 for his mother. No birth has been found for him, nor for a daughter Mary whom she supposedly gave birth to around 1856. This Mary was my great grandmother and her parents were named on her death certificate as Ann CALDWELL and James McDONALD.
