Family connections for Frances Mary (Callahan) are: CALLAHAN Frances Mary (Callaghan)/Fanny (Callahan) was born about 1814. She became a house servant. She was tried for stealing clothes at Devon Assizes Exeter on 13 1 1829, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW on 3 8 1829 after a voyage of 4months on SOVEREIGN; she was age16 Protestant 5'0" dark ruddy complexion, freckled dark brown hair hazel eyes. She married George (Field his second marriage) on 12 5 1834 at (Christ Church?) Castlereagh & produced 13 children. She died on 7 8 1882 age about68 at Bathurst. [Some details taken from this Website] George (Field) was born about 1803/6 at Parramatta. He married firstly Elizabeth (Colless) on 12 7 1824 at Christ Church Castlereagh. He was recorded in 1828 with his wife. He died on 16 4 1872 age about68 at Mt Pleasant father of 13children. Callaghan, Fanny, 16, protestant, Plymouth, house girl, stealing clothes, trial Exeter 13 Jan 1829, sentence 7 years, height 5 ft. 0 in., complexion dark ruddy and freckled, hair dark brown, eyes hazel.




Married George Field, 12 May 1834 at Castlereagh. George was the son of Edward Field (Private, NSW Corps, Scarborough, 1790) and Elizabeth Mitchell (Convict, Mary Ann, 1791). George and Fanny had 13 children between 1834 and 1857.
