County of Down Assizes. Mary Benson and Margery Campbell, for a piece of ticken in Newry, the property of Patrick Dowdall. Both Guilty ; to be transported for 7 years: on receiving sentence the prisoner Benson appeared quite overjoyed—‘ Oh!” she exclaimed, devoutly closing her hands, Thank God, I'll get to my Henry now!” We understand that her husband, to whom she alluded, was transported to Botany Bay some time back.  Newry Telegraph, 10 Aug 1830.
