Principal Superintendent of Convict Office, Sydney, January 17, 1844. THE undermentioned Prisoners having absconded from the individuals and employment set against their respective names, and some of them being at large with stolen Certificates and Tickets of Leave, all Constables and others are hereby required and commanded to use their utmost exertion in apprehending and lodging them in safe custody. Any person harbouring or employing any of the said Absentees, will be prosecuted as the law directs. The age of the prisoners is calculated up to the present time. J. M'LEAN, Principal Superintendent of Convicts ... ... Campbell Thomas, Woodbridge, 26, Lancashire, sea man, 5 feet 4 ½ inches, ruddy comp-, brown hair, hazel eyes, slight scar right cheek, heart and scar back of right hand, scar on knuckle of right thumb, another inside middle finger of right hand, blue streak and scar left wrist, 8 dots back of left hand, scar back of forefinger of same, from Norfolk Island, since 2nd June, 1841.
