Dublin. At the Commission Court on Monday last, Laurence Kavanagh, Catherine Kavanagh, and James Cannon, were indicted for burglariously breaking into the house of the Rev. Geo. Strong, on the 17th of July last, and taking therefrom several articles of wearing apparel and found guilty. Limerick Chronicle, 30 Aug 1828. Close of the Commission. … returned at half-past two o’clock, and the following sentences were pronounced: … Laurence Kavanagh, James Cannon, and Catherine Kavanagh—Sentence of death recorded. The female prisoner, on the sentence being announced, poured forth the bitterest imprecations against her first seducer.
