28/3/1835 Tipperary Free Press Tipperary, Republic of Ireland: The following prisoners were then put on their trial: Pat. Heffernan, James Cantwell, Pierce Cantwell, James Heffernan, William Delany, and Richard Stapleton, for the murder of Constable Feely, at Bailynonty. Pierce Cantwell was 20 years old on arrival - his brother James was also on board but only received a 7 year sentence. Parents: Thomas and Julia or Judith Laffan. 21/12/1844: TOL Port Stephens 26/9/1845: TOL Passport on the recommendation of the Scone Bench. 4/4/1846: To be tried at Maitland Quarter Sessions 6th April for stealing wool 11/4/1846: Free. Sentenced to 2 years in irons for stealing 600lbs of wool belonging to Archibald Clunes Innes He was a bullock driver employed by Archibald Clunes Innes. 1849: TOL Maitland 1851: Married Eliza Morris - 12 children. 24/11/1854: CP 21/4/1859: Granted Publican's license for the Crown and Anchor Inn, Swan Street, Morpeth. 18/2/1868: Son Stephen, aged 10, drowned in a hole at the rear of Campbell's store. 15/9/1878: Pierce died aged 67, and was buried at Morpeth (Maitland Burial Records). Eliza died 11/11/1905, aged 76, and was buried with Pierce.
