Kinnear Indent. https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON14-1-17$init=CON14-1-17P10 and https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON14-1-17$init=CON14-1-17P11 John Carlin, tried at Donegal, 12 March 1842, 7 years, height 5ft 1, age 26, catholic, can neither read nor write, married, 2 children. Offence: Stealing tobacco & money from a shop, p M. Gallagher, at Letterkenny; similar offence- stg £4 or £5 – acquitted. Surgeon’s Report: Bad, Dirty, troublesome, repeatedly confined for stealing. Trade: Sweep. Native place, Ardragh, Co Donegal. Remarks: W, Margaret Porter, N.P. M, Biddy, at N.P. 2 S, Catherine & Sarah at N.P.
