James Carr was 44 years old on arrival - Native Place: Northumberland. James was transported for 'Stealing tobacco'. James could read, was Protestant, single, 5'6ΒΌ" tall, dark sallow complexion, dark brown nearly black hair, dark brown eyes, blind of right eye, and slight cast outward in the left, lost two front upper teeth, two scars back of neck, scar back of middle finger of left hand. 1846: TOL Moreton Bay 17/2/1846: TOL Passport - Wellington Bench. 23/10/1848: TOL Passport. 1849: TOL Port Macquarie. 13/3/1849 Sydney Morning Herald: TOL Cancelled - James Carr, per Maitland, Grafton Bench, being unable to support himself from ill health. 10/12/1849: TOL Passport on the application of Mr. Stephens. 1/7/1852: TOL Passport On the recommendation of Commissioner of Crown Lands - Port Macquarie. 17/7/1852: TOL cancelled - not being able to support himself. 9/11/1854: COF.
