The guard consists of Captain Bull (with Mrs. Bull, 4 children, and 1 female servant), and 30 rank and file of the 99th Regt., - 4 women, and 6 children. Colonial Times (Hobart) 25 Oct 1842.

Offence: Stealing fruit & vegetables from a garden by night- Patrick Murphy, sentd. 7 years for same offence left him in Gaol- once for cutting grass, 10 mos; 2 mos for trespass. Proper name – Carr. Surgeon’s Report; Good. Trade, Carter & groom. Native place, Kings. Remarks: Denies having been married. M, Mary, at N.P. 1 S Ann at N.P.
