Bryan CARROLL was convicted at Dublin in Oct 1818. 7yr transportation sentence. To New South Wales, Australia per the ‘Bencoolen’ 1819 then transferred to Van Diemen’s Land (Tasmania) per the ‘Admiral Cockburn’ arriving Sept 1819.
Aged 36yrs;native place - Dublin, labourer; 5’3 1/2”; dark eyes; brown hair; sallow complexion.
June 1822: Neglect of duty & abscond from service. 50 lashes and hard labour in H.M. Gaol.
June 1823: Drunk & disorderly on the New Town road without a pass. 25 lashes.
Nov 1824: Neglect of duty. 25 lashes.
Dec 1825, on a Ticket of Leave: Out after hours. Reprimand.
July 1825 at Public Works: Insolence. 25 lashes.
