Wm. Dennis and James Carter, by G. Gataker, Esq., and the Rev, G. B. Paley, charged with night poaching at Lavenham, and with having violently assaulted  Robert Palmer, the gamekeeper, and his assistants, by striking them upon the head with a gun and bludgeon, so as to endanger the life of the said Robert Palmer. IPSWICH Journal, 1 Feb 1845.  Monday last, the following convicts were removed from this gaol to the Milbank prison, in pursuance of their sentences—viz., Wm. Dennis, James Carter, ... each to be transported for the term of seven years Suffolk Chronicle, 12 April 1845.
