John CARTHY was convicted at Cork, Ireland on 23 July 1851 for stealing ropes. 7yr transportation sentence. Sent to Western Australia per the 'Phoebe Dunbar' arriving 30 Aug 1853. John died in the government hospital, soon after his arrival.
