John Cartledge was 29 years old, single, could read, 5'3" tall, brown hair, hazel eyes, fair complexion. John's occupation was a "Knife Spring Grinder". Father: Job Cartledge Mother: Alicia Wroth Brother-in-law: Joseph 27/7/1847: TOL 26/10/1848: Free Certificate 1848: Married Sarah Cook 1812-1891(free) at Hobart. They had 9 children. Around 1858 they moved to Victoria and lived at Mt Clear, near Ballarat. 16/6/1896: John died and is buried at Bunninyong Cemerery, as is Sarah.
