Patrick Casey was transported on the Waterloo, departing 18th Dec 1830 and arriving 30th Apr 1831 with 200 passengers.
1829 - Waterloo's first voyage arrived at Sydney Cove 9 July 1829. 180 Male Convicts. 2 Died on voyage. 7 sent to the hospital on landing. Total mustered; 171. Stephen Addison - Commander Michael Goodsire - Surgeon Superintendent [His wife was a passenger] 1842 - The Waterloo voyage of 1842 was wrecked on 28/8/1842. 189 people drowned, these being 143 convicts, 15 men of the 99th Regiment, together with 17 wives and children, the boatswain Mr. Chiverton, the sailmaker, the carpenter and 11 of the crew. Convicts were then received in Cape Town Prison from the wreck of the Waterloo, 2nd September 1842. They then completed their voyage to VDL per “Cape Packet” which arrived on 23/11/1842.

Calendars CITY; ... Patrick Casey. alias Tracey, felony of cows; ... Dublin Morning Register, 1 Nov 1830. Commission of Oyer and Terminer. Patrick Casey was indicted for feloniously taking two heifers, the goods of Eugene Sullivan. The prosecutor being sworn said, he was a dealer in …. heifers, and on the 11th of October employed the prisoner to assist him in driving his cattle into Smithfield, where he did not sell any of them. On their way out the prisoner drove off two of the heifers in a different direction from that to which the witness intended to go. He then procured the assistance of a constable, and shortly after found the heifers in the prisoner's possession. A policeman proved having taken the cattle with the prisoner in Henry-street. He was found guilty, and sentenced to transportation for life. Freemans’ Journal, 3 Nov 1830.
