Bernard Cassidy was transported on the Waterloo, departing 18th Dec 1830 and arriving 30th Apr 1831 with 200 passengers.
1829 - Waterloo's first voyage arrived at Sydney Cove 9 July 1829. 180 Male Convicts. 2 Died on voyage. 7 sent to the hospital on landing. Total mustered; 171. Stephen Addison - Commander Michael Goodsire - Surgeon Superintendent [His wife was a passenger] 1842 - The Waterloo voyage of 1842 was wrecked on 28/8/1842. 189 people drowned, these being 143 convicts, 15 men of the 99th Regiment, together with 17 wives and children, the boatswain Mr. Chiverton, the sailmaker, the carpenter and 11 of the crew. Convicts were then received in Cape Town Prison from the wreck of the Waterloo, 2nd September 1842. They then completed their voyage to VDL per “Cape Packet” which arrived on 23/11/1842.

LOUTH ASSIZES.— Wednesdav, July 21. Burglary.—James Fitzsimmons, James Lennon, and Bernard Cassidy, were Indicted for a burglary and robbery in Margaret Butterly’s dwelling house, on the 24th of June last. by the evidence of Richard and Margaret Butterly, that the three prisoners broke open the door, between the hours of eleven and twelve o’clock at night; they went Into the bed-room, upon which the prosecutrix leaped out of bed; they immediately demanded her money; she replied that she had none ; prisoners asked where was the price of the two pigs which she sold at May; they then commanded her to go to bed. or they would have her life; she retired to bed ; prisoners then proceeded to search the house, and found several articles of wearing apparel, wool, butter, and 1£ in silver, which they carried away, after remaining about hour in the house; neither Richard nor Margaret knew any of the prisoners ; they saw their clothes afterwards in Mr. Garstin’s house, which led to the discovery the the robbers; the clothes were produced and identified. The prisoners were found Guilty, and sentence of death recorded. Dublin Evening Packet 27 July 1830.
