John Cassidy was convicted at Dublin City, Ireland in 1838 for stealing from the person (pick pocketing). Previous offence. 7yr transportation sentence. Sent to New South Wales, Australia per the 'Westmoreland' arriving Aug 1838. Aged 14yrs; single man; errand boy; Roman Catholic. Native Place - Dublin Certificate of Freedom granted, NSW.
