Oxford Assizes. James Hall, William Castle, 21, charged with breaking into the dwelling house of Isaac Smith, of Shetford East, and stealing a gold watch, a silver watch, 0 20s in money, four silver spoons, and other articles. – Death recorded. Oxford University and City Herald, 16 July 1831.




William Castle was born in the town of Banbury, Oxfordshire in 1810. He was found guilty of theft in 1831 and transported for 7 years.
