Mary Manning, Martha Morron, Margaret Mahon, Margaret Sheedy, Mary Ann Nixon alias Welsh, Catherine Kiernan, Mary Cassock, Catherine Stanton, Johanna Neville, Mary Lyons alias Hynes, Maria Moran, Catherine O'Donnel, Margaret Kennedy, and Mary Sullivan, and twenty-six children; also twenty-three children belonging to the prisoners. Catherine MURPHY was convicted at Waterford, Ireland in 1833 for stealing a watch. 7yr sentence. Transported to New South Wales, Australia per the 'Andromeda' arriving Sept 1834. Aged 24yrs; maid; ruddy, freckled complexion; scar on nose. March 1835: Newcastle Gaol, 28 days. May 1835: assigned to Dr. Brooks, Newcastle, NSW. June 1835: returned to Newcastle Gaol as she did not prove a suitable servant. June 1835: reassigned to P. Cohen, Maitland. 30 June 1835: readmitted to Newcastle Gaol, 4mths. Nov 1835: reassigned to W. Dunn at Paterson. 1838: Application for Permission to marry - to free immigrant James Malowney.
