Allpress Catlin was a farm labourer and was transported on his first conviction of sheep stealing. He was 23, 5'4 1/2" tall, could read only, fresh complexion, brown hair, brown eyebrows, hazel eyes, large nose, his native place was Bury, Huntingdonshire. He had tattoos: Woman of right ars, Allpress catlin on Left arm below elbow. Period of Gang Probation: 1 year 9 months. Station of Gang Probation: Rocky Hills. He had many drunk and disorderly conducts offences and also absconded regularly until 1860. 16/4/1860: Certificate of freedom. In 1870 he married Annie Maria Hopcraft at Westbury, Tas. They had 3 children. Trove 6/6/1867: George Patrick was charged with stealing a bundle containing varying items of clothes, the property of Allpress Catlin. The charge was sustained and the prisoner jailed for 1 month. No date of death.
