Quite an incredible and inspirational story of Henry Catlin . At age 9 he was charged with theft of a pair of shoes and received a 4mths jail term with hard labour , solitary confinement for alternating fortnights at a time and for good measure a private whipping. The transport was cancelled and he returned to his fathers care who was an extremely violent drunk
