Mary's maiden name was Morton. She was married to John Chadderton, in Liverpool, October 27 1790, prior to her transportation. This seems very unusual, but may somehow be the reason for the delayed transportation. No issue. Once in the colony, she again married, this time to William Adams (Convict; Scarborough, 1790). They had three children, Sarah, Elizabeth and Kezia, before William died in 1798. She then lived with the Rum Corps soldier, William Baker for several years, until he too died in 1824. Mary then married Benjamin Cusley, (Marine, Friendship, 1788).

Mary was indented as being transported on the second fleet. (viz - Neptune, Scarborough or Surprize). However, for some reason he transportation was held over and she was not actually sent until the third fleet, being transported on the Mary Ann.
