Henry Wareham and William Chadwick, for house-breaking, and John Furnaodes, for stabbing a person at Gosport, have been this week committed to our county gaol. Hampshire Chronicle, 9 Jan 1809.

Felony, tried at Winchester, 27 March 1809, 7 years, NSW 27 Jun 1809. ---------------------------------------------------- 1828 Census Index. William Chawick, age 43, F.S. Indian, 1810, 7 years, protestant, Labourer, Dennis Sheens, Pitt Water district. Jane Chadwick, age 14, B.C. protestant.

Jane CHADWICK was born c 1814 and bapage 10yrs by Therry in 1824. William was living at 'Kilmain Farm', Pittwater, with Dennis SHEAHAN (conv sent 7yrs CoCork, arr provenance 2 Jul 1811) before 1817. In 1817 they agreed to rent Kilmain farm fromRobert Campbell (his grant).In 1828 Census Sheehan (who had wed Susan ROGERS in 1822) had 5 acres land, 2 cleared & cultivated & 4 head cattle, and was employing William Chadwick as labourer. By1831 William CHADWICK & Jane gave evidence in murder trial re Patrick DUFFY, John WHALEY & John SNELL being accused, but acquited. At that tome WHALEY was living at North Harbour and William CHADWICK & daughter Jane were living" at Nth Harbour 3 miles from WHALEY's house.

William chadwick or Shadwick had a daughter to an aboriginal lady. The daughter was Jane and William reared her as what happened to her mother is unknown. Jane married a Irish convict John Whaley also Whealey.Jane was my grt grt grandmother. William was arrested in Alvenstoke for burglary. This is about all I know and I have been researching him for years.
