Sentenced and transported along with his brother Edward Chaloner (Challoner - stock theft) and David Roberts, (stock theft). Granted Conditional Pardon, 9th December, 1841. Tickets-of-leave have been granted - see http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/2955130 NSW Police Gazette 1876, Jun 28 states presumed death of brother Edward ten years previous. Survived by son James Challenor (July 1816 - February 1876) Previously convicted Denbigh Assizes Autumn 1819 for manslaughter - sentenced to 12 months.
