Warwick Assizes concluded on Thursday fe'nnight, at which no less than nineteen prisoners received sentence of death. In addition to those mentioned in our last, the following were capitally convicted:— Charles Chambers, for stealing wearing apparel; … John Richards (for highway robbery), Wm. Boston, and Thomas and Mary Lappage (for vending forged Bank of England notes), were left for execution the others were all reprieved. Northampton Mercury, 9 April 1803. ----------------------------------------------------- Portsmouth Hulk records. HO 9-8_3. Received 19 prisoners from Warwick, 9 Nov 1803 Charles Chambers, age 17, C.R (Capitally respited), Tried at Warwick, 24 Mar 1803. Sentence, BS 7 years.
