Sarah was tried at the Old Bailey. SARAH CHAMBERS, Theft - grand larceny, 14th September 1826. 1683. SARAH CHAMBERS was indicted for stealing, on the 19th of July , 1 pair of shoes, value 3s. , the goods of Edward Healy . HARRIET BOWSER . I live with my brother, Edward Healy, a shoe-make , in Holborn . On the 19th of August I saw the prisoner in the shop, about twelve o'clock - she said she was a servant, and her mistress had sent her to buy a pair of shoes; she brought a pair, as a pattern; I missed a pair from a parcel of eight, and accused her of it - she said she was surprised at me - I called my brother, who sent for an officer - they were found under her dress. JOHN WOODWARD. I am an officer. I saw the prisoner take the shoes from under her dress. GUILTY. Aged 17. Transported for Seven Years .

Sarah Chambers was 17 years old when convicted of stealing a pair of shoes, value 3s. 20/1/1830: Married James Parsons/Pearson (Guildford 1827) they had 3 children. 23/5/1832: TOL for good conduct in service, Patrick Plains. I have her death in 1874 at Newcastle.
