Edmund Champ was single, 5’8 ½” tall, light hair, grey eyes, fair complexion, tolerably stout. 1/5/1853: TOL 2/9/1853: The Perth Gazette and Independent Journal of Politics and News: (Domestic Sayings and Doings): A Ticket-of-leave holder was accidentally killed a few days ago in the Leschenault district. The man, whose name was Edward Champ, was a sawyer in the service of Mr Pearce Clifton, and was in the act of felling a tree, when it fell upon him, and occasioned such injuries as to cause his death.

Edmund was convicted at Winchester Assizes on the 1st March 1849 and arrived on the 1st May 1853. Edmund died on the 18th August 1853, and it is said that a tree or log fell on him.
