Family connections for William (Chandler) are: CHANDLER William (Chandler) was born about 1760/84. He was tried for stealing at Surrey Assizes, sentenced to Life & arrived in NSW as a convict on 7 5 1804 after a voyage of 6months on COROMANDEL. He was a Free by Servitude stone mason emancipist when he married ffirstly Jane (Appleton her fourth marriage) on 23 1 1815 at St Phillips CofE Sydney.>>> [Some details taken from this Website] Jane Ann (Appleton alias Mary (Way)) was born about 1782. She was tried for stealing linen, on 16 1 1801, at Reading Quarter Sessions Berkshire, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW on 14 12 1801 after a voyage of 7.5months on Fleet ship NILE. She had a first (1of4) relationship with John (Young) <1803 (marriage not shown in Smees records) & produced 1child. She had a second (2of4) relationship with James (Gannon/Gammon) <1805 in Sydney. (It seems her second & third relationships are with the same person.) She was Free by Servitude by 1811. She married thirdly (3of4) James/John (Gabbage) emancipist baker on 1 6 1810 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. (It seems her second & third relationships are with th the same person.) She is recorded in 1828 Free by Servitude with her family at Cumberland St Sydney. She died about 1845 age63 mother of maybe 10children. He is recorded in 1828 with his parents at Cumberland St Sydney. 2.Thomas (Chandler) was born on 21 8 1817 in NSW & baptised on 21 9 1817 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. He is recorded in 1828 with his parents at Cumberland St Sydney. 3.Hannah (Chandler) was born on 11 9 1819 & baptised on 3 10 1819 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. She died on 24 11 1819 age10w & was buried at St Phillips CofE Sydney. .. >>>William (Chandler) had a second relationship with Ann (Thompson). He was Free by Servitude by 1820.
