Charlotte Chapman, aged 22, a common prostitute of the lowest description, was indicted for steallng from the person of Henry Oasden the sum of four shillings A second Indictment charged her with stealing from the person of Jesse Hall the sum of one shilling and threepence, The prosecutors in each case were prevailed upon to accompany prisoner to the rookery in Walker land, where the robberies were clearly proved to have been committed - was found Guilty, and sentenced to be transported for the term of her natural life. Derby Mercury, 15 April 1835.
