Convict Notes

I note another George, a labourer in Shropshire when sentenced to 7years in 1814. He arrived in NSW on INDEFATIGIBLE as convict 7years in 1815 at age41. He is shown in musters as a landholder in Parramatta in 1823, 1824 & 1825. I now think we can regard these as the same person with conflicting ages.

George was born in 1760. He arrived in NSW on INDEFATIGIBLE as convict Life in 1815 at age55. At 1822 muster he had receivved his Ticket of Leave and had land 50acres total 16acres wheat 10acres maize 1acre barley 23acres cleared 4cattle 30hogs 1acre with residence at Parramatta. In 1826 he died age66 & buried at St Johns Parramatta Anglican. He was an emancipist.
