Robert was born about 1779 in Nottingham. In 1800 he was recorded as servant to Mr (Dore) Judge Advocate and in 1806 employed by H (Kable). In 1811 he was at muster Sydney. In 1808 Matilda was born to Robert & defacto Elizabeth (Tebbutt) at Sydney to be baptised in 1809 age15months at St Phillips Sydney. Robert & Elizabeth (Tebbutt) married in 1808 & produced 4chidren according to two references & Mr Smee's earlier books, but Mr Smee has them as defacto for all children in his later editions. In any case they produced 3or4children. Elizabeth (Tebbutt) was born about 1790 (maybe London) & came free on NILE in 1801. She died in 1816 age73. In 1809 son John was born then baptised in 1812 at St Phillips Sydney; he died at Liverpool in 1814 age5 buried at St Lukes Liverpool. In 1811 son William was born then baptised in 1812 age8m at St Phillips Sydney. He married Susannah (Fletcher) in 1839 & produced 10 children. He died in 1902 age91 at Lumley Park Bungonia nr Goulbourn. Susannah (Fletcher) was born in the colony in 1815. She was the daughter of Edward (Fletcher) convict from MINORCA in 1801 & Henrietta (Shewring) who came free on LADY PENRHYN as a child in 1788 (married 1807 St Johns Parramatta). She had a sister Eliza. She died in 1902 age87. Edward (Fletcher) has an entry on this Website Jane (Langley) has an entry on this Website Susannah (Fletcher) is mentioned in entry for her father Edward (Fletcher) frpm MINORCA on this Website. In 1812 or 1814 an Elizabeth was born in Sydney who may have been their daughter, who was then baptised at age21months in 1816 at St Johns Parramatta & died about 1816. Robert was recorded at muster in 1811 & was recorded with Elizabeth (free) + 2children in 1814 when he was a free landholder of Liverpool all off stores. In 1815 he was kicked by a horse & died at Appin age36-buried St Lukes Liverpool. William & Susannah (Fletcher)s first child Elizabeth was born about 1840. Their child Susannah was born about 1842. Their child William Robert was born about 1844. Their child Edward was born about 1845. Their child Henrietta was born about 1847. Their child Eliza was born about 1848. Their child Thomas was born about 1850. Their child Alfred was born about 1851. Their child Henry was born about 1854. Their child Robert Cyrus was born about 1859. Elizabeth (Tebbutt) remarried about 1818 John (Ashcroft) at St Peters Campbelltown or St Lukes Liverpool after being assigned to her & produced maybe 10children-total8or14. She was mentioned in musters 1822, 1823, 1824 & 1825. She died in 1847 age56 at Narellan/Campbelltown-buried at St Peters Campbelltown. John (Ashcroft) was born about 1777 and grew up to be a farmer; he was a convict Life who had stolen calico, was convicted Lancaster Assizes and arrived in NSW on SURREY in 1816; he was initially assigned to Colonel (Molle) at Liverpool; he was mentioned as Free by Servitude in 1823; he was mentioned in musters 1823, 1824, & 1825 as having Ticket of Leave and living at Minto. He had a son William C born about 1808 and mentioned in musters 1822, 1823, 1824, & 1825 & a daughter Eliza born about 1810 and mentioned in muster 1822. He died in 1855 age78. John (Ashcroft) & Elizabeth (Tebbutt/Chapman)s children (8of) were:- John (Ashcroft) born 1817 & baptised age13months at St Lukes Liverpool in 1818; son John died in 1909 age92. Thomas or Henry (Ashcroft) born 1820 & baptised in 1827 age6 at St Pauls Cobbity; son Thomas/Henry died in 1867 age47.
