Essex Summer Assize. Charles Goff, labourer, was indicted for stealing a half-crown from James Eldred, at Little Wakering. Prosecutor lodged with his father and on the night of the 6th of July, prisoner slept in the same room. The prisoner could account for the robbery in no other way than that he had done it in his sleep. Essex Standard, 20 July 1833. Local Intelligence.
